Teaching English

If there is one job which you have the right skills for in Spain, if you are English that is and a teacher, it is Teaching English!

Teachers of English are in high demand in Spain due to the constant demand and high turnover of teachers. Anyone with a "Teaching English as a Foriegn Language (TEFL) or English as a Second Language (ESOL)  cetificate can sometimes find a job on the spot and sometimes due to the high demand some schools don’t even insist on formal teaching qualifications and a graduate native English speaker can get a job sometimes without other qualifications.

The British Council recruits English Language teachers & supervisory staff for two year placements in its language centres in Barcelona, Bilbao, Madrid, Segovia, Valencia & Palma in Majorca. The British council teacher recruitment unit can be contacted in London on 020 7389 4167 or you can email teacher.vacancies@britcoun.org or in Madrid by phoning 913 373 500 or visit their website at www.britishcouncil.es
